TRUSTEES
Co-Chairperson: Les Linklater
l have recently become a Trustee of Westhill and District Community Sports & Leisure Hub and also taken up the position of co-chair along with Sean Boyd.
I am an active member of jogscotland Westhill, where I am a jog leader and also vice-chair. As well as jogscotland I am a regular parkrunner and a keen cyclist.
As a relatively recent convert to running etc. I am an advocate for physical and mental wellbeing and the role activity can play in maintain both
Co-Chairperson: Sean Boyd
I joined the Hub in 2016 to represent Westhill Choi Kwang Do and have recently become a Trustee and co-chair of the Hub with Les Linklater, taking over from Grant Coull.
I am Chief Instructor at Westhill Choi Kwang Do and run the club with three other Instructors.
Vice Chairperson: Grant Coull
Performed the WDCSH Chairperson role for over 3 years. Passionate about sport all my life and keen to see sport prosper in the local community. Founded the Westhill 10k and now performing a vice chair role at the Sports Hub.
Secretary: Neil Yeoman
I am Neil Yeoman, Secretary of Westhill & District Community Sports Hub. A resident of Westhill for 18 years I am passionate about supporting sports groups in the area, and improving community sporting facilities.
I am an active member of Jog Scotland Westhill. I’ve also played for and managed local football clubs in the Aberdeen area all my life.
Treasurer: Colin Currie
I have been a Trustee and Treasurer since 2017.
I am a retired CA and a member of the Rotary Club of Westhill & District. I am also Treasurer of Westhill Gala and also of Westhill & District Public Hall SCIO (Ashdale Hall).
Training: Tony Forster
I have been a member of the WDCSH since 2016 and am currently the Hub’s Course Administrator. I have also been Chair of the Westhill Walkers for a number of years.
George Bruce
I’m into my second term on the hub council now in a Trustee position. I represent Westhill Golf Club on the hub and hold the position of Golf Club Manager at the Club.
I’ve been a fully qualified PGA Golf Professional for 21 years and been attached to Westhill Golf Club for 25 years. In 2018 there was a restructure of the club where my role was changed and I now hold the position of Club Manager at the Golf Club. I still teach golf on a regular basis and get a thrill when my pupils achieve their targets.
Alison Smith
l have recently become a Trustee for WDCSH. I have been a member of the Hub since it’s inception 4 years ago.
I represent Westhill Netball Club and it has been part of the Westhill Community for around 35 years. My role at the club started as a player but gradually changed to become coach, which l have now been, for nearly 30 years.
The club continues to go from strength to strength and has received great support from the Hub in the past. I look forward to continuing this relationship in the future on behalf of WNC.
Susan Kay
I am a Trustee and co-founder of SensationALL SC043156, a charity based in Westhill at the Old School House which supports children and adults with disabilities or support needs and their families in the Grampian area.
I am also a Director for the Westhill out of school care service Schools Out! Westhill Ltd that I helped to set up as a social enterprise business that works closely with SensationALL.
Mum to two children, one with autism and one with Dyslexia. I am experienced at working with children of all abilities, having been employed as a Student Support Worker, Leisure Assistant, Play Leader and Gymnastic Coach in Westhill. I am a strong believer in family support and the importance of children and adults with disabilities or support needs having equal opportunities to fully experience life and realise their potential.
I have been involved in a number of committees and organisations over the 20 years that I have lived in the Westhill area and like to be involved in supporting the community in any way that I can.
