Established in 1996, Westdyke Community Club has grown into one of Scotland’s top community clubs in recent years, with in excess of 300 boys and girls and over 60 coaches.
They were awarded the Scottish Football Association Quality Mark Legacy Award in 2013, which is the highest level of the Association’s accredited programme. This means that Westdyke has met every requirement of the Quality Mark programme, such as coaching quality, community engagement, child protection and personal development. They were also awarded the SFA Community Club of the Year in 2012.
Westdyke Community Club has the desire to be the very best that they can be and the next plan of our development is the improvement of the facilities at Lawsondale. In association with the Lawsondale Sport Centre Trust, Westdyke are working to upgrade one pitch from grass to 3G synthetic turf, including floodlighting and fencing.
