Following on from the successful pre-race event from the 2016 race, the Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k, organised by the Westhill District and Community Sports Hub, is organising a pre-race event on Wednesday, 10th May in the Westhill Holiday Inn. The event is hosted by former international marathon runner and sports journalist, Fraser Clyne. Fraser is five times Scottish marathon champion and competed in the 1986 Commonwealth Games marathon, finishing 10th.
Springtime is fast approaching and with lighter nights and brighter days, it’s the perfect opportunity to get running! The 2017 Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k is on Sunday, 11th June so you have plenty of time to get 10k ready and enjoy this scenic race route.

The Westhill & District Community Sport and Leisure Hub are delighted to be bringing back the Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k for the second year. The 2017 race will take place on Sunday, 11th June 2017 and will feature three children’s races too – P1 to P3, P4 to P7 and S1 – S4.
The race is now OPEN for entries and you can enter the Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k and the children’s races by clicking HERE.
You can check out the 10k route and read up on some essential race day information too – you can expect race day atmosphere to be both runner and spectator friendly, with bag drop facilities, on site toilets and catering facilities.
2016’s race sold out in less than a month, entries are limited so sign up and get training.

With less than 3 weeks to race day, the committee is hard at work on the final preparations! Pretty sure we have everything covered, only thing we cannot organise is the weather. Standard for Aberdeen so sure it won’t stop any of you anyway… #community
Registration for both the 10k race and the children’s races are in the Westhill Academy. Race Numbers, Timing chips and complimentary t-shirts will be collected at registration. The children’s races are on the Academy playing field. The 10k race will start next to the Ashdale Hall and finish on the Academy playing field.
